The College View is an independent student newspaper of Dublin City University, run voluntarily by students affiliated with DCU’s Media Production Society. The newspaper was first published in 1999 after changing its name from The Bullsheet, its predecessor.
The College View has nine sections – News, Opinions & Features, Irish & Languages, Sports, Lifestyle, Satire, Science and Tech, our sustainability section, The Dev and our arts section, The Hype. These sections cover everything from DCU student issues to national student issues, humour and satire to life through the eyes of students, as well as extensive sports coverage and analysis.
The College View is published fortnightly, with multiple issues per semester and is circulated among 12,000 students as well as DCU lecturers and staff.
The College View celebrated ‘6 Hours to Print’ on the 17th February 2026. It involved gathering writers to create news stories for The College View’s first printed paper since 2020. The articles were compiled into a 28-page-long physical newspaper, featuring articles from each of our sections.
