It is absolutely no secret that I Andy Vaughey am a serial dater. So without further ado, I am going to rate my most frequented date spots in Dublin.

Street 66:

Street 66 is an LGBT friendly bar located on Parliament street. I've had a fair few dates here, its just a pretty chill bar for a quiet drink. The drinks don't break the bank but they don't do any student nights. Street 66 are dog-friendly so you really can't go wrong here plus they have a few board games if its a first date and you're still getting to know each other street 66 is a good shout. 

The Stella Cinema:

I was brought on a date to the Stella in Ranelagh and the experience was unlike any other cinema date I had been on from start to finish the experience is very “American” from the coke gun to the freshly made churros (with chocolate sauce and ice cream) everything about the Stella goes above and beyond. We got one of the beds down at the front of the screen, although you do get to lie down your neck does get a bit sore after a while id say definitely get one of the seats especially for longer films. However 2 tickets in the Stella will cost you at least €38, so maybe don't use the Stella for a first date.

R.i.o.t:

You can find R.i.o.t on Aston Quay and is one of my favourite date spots in Dublin. The bar itself describes itself as Brooklyn meets Berlin and you definitely get those vibes as soon as you walk in. Price of drinks is fairly standard. R.i.o.t has two pool tables, a massive Jenga game and a Deer Hunter arcade game so its perfect for a first date. In all the dates I've brought people here on you think id be better at pool by now but sadly I am not.

The George :

I’m not saying I ever intend to end up in the George on a date but 9/10 it just happens. It’s not bad for a boogie if you want to show your skills on the dance floor. It’s definitely not the most expensive night out in Dublin. Although I have ended up in the George on many many first dates I can’t actually remember any of them working out so maybe it’s cursed (clearly it’s not me im unreal).
