DCU MPS Blog Subcommittee 21/22
Hi everyone! My name’s Becky Kelly and I’m so excited to be the new editor for the MPS Blog! My role as editor involves reading each individual blog and doing some readability, spelling and grammar checks (I’m your very own Grammarly, lucky you). Writing blogs is such a simple way to get involved in the MPS and I encourage everyone from any course to give it a bash. You have nothing to lose!
I’m in my second year of Multimedia and my third year in college as I have already completed one year of media in Maynooth. I find that DCU brings a more hands on approach not only in their degrees but in society life too, which is why I’m so glad to be a part of this subcommittee and getting involved in such a special part of the MPS.
The best part about blogs is the freedom it brings to writing. We’ve all had essay titles that are a drag to write but with blogging, you have free rein to write about whatever your little heart desires (within reason). What more could you ask for? If any of this sounds good to you, I highly recommend that you request to join the MPS Blog Crew page on Facebook. This is where you can chat with other bloggers, throw some topic ideas around and much more! Looking forward to meeting you all very soon. xx
Helloo all! My name is Sadhbh Berry (pronounced like five with an S but whatever interpretation of that spelling that you like hehe). I am a Communications student in my final year but more importantly, I am your new content creator/idea maker generator for the fabulous MPS Blog this year! My role is to produce a list of titles and ideas for you to pick from each week and just aid and prompt your writing experience overall and as much as I can! Or else, if you have any creative ideas of your own that you would like to put forward to the blog, which i'm sure you willI, I am the person who you can run it by. I’m super excited to see the blog back in action this year after an absolute whirlwind of a year. The blog is such a great and easy way to get those creative juices flowing and just spill some lovely words, thoughts and fun out onto a page (or screen in this case). It is incredibly simple to get involved and contribute to, and you also have the freedom to write about anything you’d like whether that’s college, food, travel, art, music, comedy.. rock collecting..? Whatever you're into, every week or two I will be putting out a list of topics and ideas for you to have a look at and choose from. If you are interested, definitely get stuck in! As I already mentioned, the blog is an amazing way to get involved and does not require any mad writing skills. I am by no means a pro writer as you can probably tell from this piece but you will definitely surprise yourself and won't regret getting involved! I would recommend joining the MPS Blog Crew page on Facebook! It’s a great place to touch base with others curious about the Blog and to get some inspiration for topics to take on. I look forward to seeing all of your posts!
